Tulsa Tornados

I am very sorry to announce that I will not be coaching baseball in the Tulsa area in 2012.  Thank you all for the fun this year and I hope and pray you all have a fun and safe baseball career in your future.

Parents, Players and other Coaches,

I am in the beginning stages of recruiting for the Spring and Summer seasons for 2012.  For those players that were on my team this year that would like to play with the team again next year (and don’t turn 9 before May 1, 2012) please shoot me an email to let me know your interest.  I would definitely like you back!

In other words, I am staying down in 8U one more season.  I would like to have the team established by early fall so we can get in the grove of practicing.  I plan to practice indoors in the winter. 

Also, by building the team early, we can actually become a team during the fall…not just a group of boys.  Building a team takes time…and the boys need that time to build eachother’s trust.

If done correctly, we should also be able to raise all the funds for the team with no out of pocket expenses if we have all the parents on board.  If not it might be harder.  Lets build the relationship early this year so we can hopefully play together for years!

Hey guys….another win!  Great job!  I hope everyone is having fun.

Next practice will be this Saturday at 10AM…same place.  See you then.

Next game is Thursday at 7:15 Field #5.  Please be there at 6:30.  We are home so sit on the 3^rd base side.  They did really good tonight you should all be very proud.

 One caveat…I know it is very easy to get excited and yell for your child…please continue to support your sons…but please do not yell at our coaches to send someone the next base.  We have all been on teams where we have been slaughtered and it is not very fun….we don’t want to rub things in.  I had Dave and Dean hold up several children tonight out of respect to the other team (mostly first year players).  Know that our team did very well, hit well and listened to their coaches.

No practice on Wednesday.

Note:  (Each team should check their schedules and send an email to the league in case of errors.  Changes will only be made if there are errors.)   Check this schedule on a regular basis as changes to the schedule may occur at any time up until 48 hours before the scheduled game time.  To find out when games are rained out or postponed call 488-7888.   Rain-out information will be available after 4:00pm on game days.  Team on the right is the home team.  Home team will sit in the 3^rd base dug-out.
